Polyester is the common name of polyester fiber. It is a synthetic fiber obtained by spinning polyester formed by polycondensation of organic dibasic acid and diol. Poly: ethylene terephthalate, referred to as PET fiber, is a polymer compound . Invented in 1941, it is the world's largest production and most widely used synthetic fiber variety. At present, polyester accounts for more than 70% of the world's synthetic fiber production. Polyester is widely used in textiles such as clothing, bedding, various decorative fabrics, military special fabrics, and other industrial fiber products, such as filter materials and insulating materials.
From January to November 2007, the total industrial output value of China's polyester fiber manufacturing industry was RMB 2,246,688,700, an increase of 22.56% over the same period last year; cumulative product sales revenue was RMB 2,364,138,800, an increase of 21.65% over the same period last year; cumulative profit The total amount was 49,879,900 yuan, an increase of 61.15% over the same period last year. From January to May of 2008, the total industrial output value of China's polyester fiber manufacturing industry was 104,924,600 yuan, an increase of 8.72% over the same period last year; the cumulative product sales income was 1,06747,100 yuan, an increase of 10.82% over the same period last year; cumulative profit The total amount was 14.9512 million yuan, a decrease of 19.96% over the same period last year. As of 2010, the global output of polyester fiber reached 37.3 million tons, accounting for 74% of the world's total synthetic fiber.
Polyester (polyester fiber) is divided into several categories: short fibers, drawn yarns, textured yarns, decorative filaments, industrial filaments, and various differentiated fibers.
Among them, polyester staple fiber is divided into:
1. According to physical properties: high-strength low-extension type, medium-strength medium-extension type, low-strength medium-extension type, high-modulus type, high-strength high-modulus type;
2. Distinguish according to post-processing requirements: cotton type, wool type, hemp type, silk type;
3. Distinguish by purpose: clothing, cotton wool, decoration, industrial use;
4. Divided by function: cationic dyeable, moisture-absorbing, flame-retardant, colored, anti-pilling, anti-static;
5. Distinguish by fiber section: profiled wire, hollow wire.
Polyester filament points:
1. Primary yarn: undrawn yarn (conventional spinning) (UDY), semi-pre-oriented yarn (medium-speed spinning) (MOY), pre-oriented yarn (high-speed spinning) (POY), highly oriented yarn (ultra-high speed) Spinning) (HOY);
2. Drawing filament: drawing filament (low-speed drawing filament) (DY), fully drawn filament (spinning and drawing one-step method) (FDY), full-fetching filament (spinning one-step method) (FOY) 3. Deformation Yarn: conventional textured yarn (DY), stretch textured yarn (DTY), air textured yarn (ATY).
There are many types of polyester fiber fabrics. In addition to weaving pure polyester fabrics, there are many products blended or interwoven with various textile fibers, which make up for the shortcomings of pure polyester fabrics and exert better wear performance. At present, polyester fabrics are developing towards the naturalization of synthetic fibers such as wool, silk, linen, and deerskin.
Polyester's light resistance is second only to acrylic fiber, abrasion resistance, high strength, moderate ductility, and good resilience. It is an ideal raw material for weaving.
